“I wrote ‘Yourself’ in the depths of last winter, which was particularly long and dark. I was drawn to those lyrics because they reminded me at the time that winter doesn’t last forever and as the days get longer, the sun brighter and the trees greener, you feel a little bit more normal, like ‘yourself’ again.
My focus was for the synth harmonies and driving low-end to make the record emotive but full of dance-floor energy at the same time.” Bacavi
