‘Atomic Eyes‘ is the latest release for The Rain Within and is easily the band’s most ambitious work to date. This album merges synthwave and synth-pop while breaking every rule for each along the way. The record manages to be more aggressive, visceral, and upbeat, all the while maintaining a sound that is uniquely The Rain Within. They have successfully built a bridge between the 80s and today’s audience.
There’s a point you reach as an artist where things really come together and your vision becomes clear. Atomic Eyes is the product of that moment for me. I feel I’ve found a way to bring synthwave and synthpop together without having to water down either of them, and created a sound that is uniquely my own voice along the way.
