,★’ is a post-free collective with Laura Schuler – violin and effects, Jonas Labhart – alto saxophone and effects and Berni Doessegger – drums. Their music reflects, the connection of contemporary jazz to free improvisation, American tradition, new music, the underground and electronic music.
,★’ uses both collective improvisation and the exploration of composition and theories of cybernetics and the uncommon to develop their own musical concept. The result is a dense and visceral sound. A chamber music ensemble game mixed with electronic elements following an immanent logic.
