Washington-DC’s Irish Basement recently released Every Day Bar EP, and it’s sublime opener and title track, is the one that in a flash caught our attention. This ferocious dynamite is a gritty mix of 80s post punk, gothic rock, and modern indie rock, and according to its “genitors”. they were inspired by bands like Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem, and Joy Division, while lyrically is about “letting loose and embracing the moment, no matter how reckless or unpredictable it may be. It’s about finding freedom and connection in unexpected places, and experiencing the raw energy of a night out with someone you love.

Their highly anticipated debut full-length album Heaven or Hell is out April 11 on all streaming platforms, and this is the samdhing final single!
