Joshua K, is an artist and songwriter based in London, who draws inspiration from the alt-rock and folk genres, and his latest release, Christchurch – Acoustic, is a stripped-down rendition of the title track from his 2022 EP, Christchurch. This acoustic version offers a lo-fi, folk perspective, serving as a heartfelt homage to the carefree days spent as a film student at art school in Bournemouth alongside friends.
What stands out in this track is the raw, unfiltered emotion, characterized by expressive vocals reminiscent of the brighter facets of great musicians like Elliott Smith and Mark Kozelek.
