Montreal’s Your ex and I recently released their debut, self-produced, 4-track EP, which is an ode to heartbreak, longing and depression. Heartbreaker by Design is a spotless blend of crooner pop and 90s dark rock, that initially reminded us of The Last Shadow Puppets, but but as the song progresses, British Invasion elements flourish. This uncompromising quintet is not afraid to sound melodious, dark, but mainly experiment on differing genres, creating a sound of its own. Powerful and unique!
